Friends of VET (FoVET): These are persons who are interested in research processes (data collection, data entry, data analysis), research activities (baseline, midline, endline evaluation; Scoping exercises; Project evaluations and assessments). FoVET members subscribe to VET practices and are experienced in various research based fields.

Through FoVET, VET gives opportunities to young people to hone their skills while at the same time gaining some money in the process.

The array of FoVETs skills and qualifications range from PhD holders to fresh high school graduates so as to help in mentorship processes.

Vision

VET envisages a socially stable and economically empowered society that is sensitive to the issues of youth and children; where basic needs are met and resources are shared equitably and in a sustainable manner; where people have control over their own lives and those in power act for the common good.

 Mission

VET’s  mission is to empower the youth and children towards understanding and creating their current active role in the society.

Objectives:

  • To enhance the livelihoods of girls & boys and young women & young men by improving their access to their entitlements socially and economically.
  • To improve the livelihoods of the youth by accessing sustainable income generating activities
  • To undertake or cause to be undertaken within VET or otherwise or in collaboration with other individuals, bodies and Groups research on scientific and socio-economic matters related to improving welfare of our communities.
